One year ago today, our community faced unimaginable devastation as an EF-4 tornado tore through Laurel County, claiming 19 lives and forever changing countless others.

For the men and women of Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, that night was more than a response. It was a night that will stay with them forever.

From seasoned providers to some who were just getting their start, our crews worked through chaos, destruction, heartbreak, and exhaustion to answer every call for help. They witnessed things no one should ever have to see, carried burdens that words cannot describe, and continued serving others despite the emotional weight they themselves were carrying. Overall, they transported over 85 patients.

Even a year later, our employees still carry memories from that night with them every day. Yet through it all, they showed extraordinary courage, compassion, professionalism, and strength.

Today, we remember the 19 lives lost, pray for the survivors forever changed, and honor every first responder, healthcare worker, dispatcher, volunteer, and community member who stood together during one of the darkest nights our county has ever experienced.

To our community: we are Laurel County strong. We rebuild, we overcome, we stick together.

To our employees: we see your sacrifice, we honor your service, and we thank you for carrying on even after carrying so much.
