KAREN JONES

Karen began working at Ambulance Inc. as an administrative assistant at the age of 21. She later obtained her Certified Ambulance Coder certificate, and was promoted to office manager in 2022. Karen was promoted to Administrator in early 2024. In her capacity as administrator she is focused on HR, manages the office and billing, as well as oversees daily operations and decision making. Karen has been married to her husband, John, for over 14 years. Together they have 3 sons. In her spare time, you can find Karen reading a book, binge watching a show, or redecorating a room in her home.
SHANNON KNIGHT

Shannon has been at Ambulance Inc. for almost 34 years. As Vice-President, her work focuses on PR, analyzing reports, and decision-making. Shannon has 3 children, all of which are first-responders, with 2 of them also working at Ambulance Inc. She has been married to her husband, Travis for 34 years. Shannon has 4 granddaughters that are her pride and joy. Fun fact: Shannon is also a licensed funeral director.Â

Susan has been working for Ambulance Inc. since its inception in 1977, for 48 years! She is a certified EMT and while her job duties are mostly corporate related, you will also find her on the ambulance from time to time. Susan has been married to her husband, Mark for 42 years, and together they have 2 daughters, and 5 grandchildren. Susan loves her family and her favorite thing to do outside of work is be with them.
JAMEY MILLS

Jamey has been with Ambulance Inc. for almost 25 years now. He has moved through multiple management roles in the company over the years. He began as an EMT, became a lieutenant, then later promoted to Major. He earned his paramedic licenses in 2012. In 2024 he was promoted to Director of EMS Operations. He oversees all of the providers here at Ambulance Inc. as well as daily operations and decision making. Jamey has been married to his wife Katelyn, for 7 years and has two children, Faith and Jack, and 1 dog, Flash. He has a love for antiques, especially medical and EMS related ones!
JIMMY SMITH

Jimmy began his EMS career in 1996 as an EMT. He has been with Ambulance Inc. for over 20 years. He has served in multiple roles, earning his way up the ranks to senior captain. Besides his management skills, Jimmy also oversees our fleet to make sure they are always up to par. Jimmy has been married to his wife, Jennifer for over 28 years. He has 4 children and 10 grandchildren. Jimmy spends most of his free time with his family outdoors.
CHRIS VANDY

Chris began his career at Ambulance Inc. as an EMT. He later got his Advanced EMT licenses, and then furthered his education even more and became a paramedic in 2024. Chris got his start in management at Ambulance Inc. as a lieutenant for B-shift, until he was eventually promoted to Captain in 2025. In his role as captain, Chris also is in charge of the schedule for all employees. Chris is married to his wife, Summer, who is also an EMT at Ambulance Inc. He is a father of 6 children, two of which are twins! Chris also serves as a Captain at East Bernstadt Fire and Rescue, and a volunteer at Crossroads Fire Department. He loves spending time outdoors and is an avid hunter.

Captain Will Bishop has been with Ambulance Inc. for over 26 years, what an achievement! He is our longest employed provider in the company. Will is known throughout the community as a wonderful, caring provider. The number of lives he has saved in the Laurel County area is immeasurable. Will also oversees the management of the Field Operations Supervisors of Ambulance Inc.
Brittany Gross

Brittany began her career at Ambulance Inc. as a brand new EMT straight out of school. Her eagerness was evident as she continued her education to become a paramedic in 2024. She began her management journey as lieutenant for C-shift. She then moved on to become a chase paramedic and served as lieutenant to all employees. In Julyl of 2025, she was promoted to night shift captain. Brittany has also been a volunter firefighter for over 10 years. She loves animals, reading and Crossfit.
gAGE KNIGHT

Gage got his start in EMS working as an EMT at Ambulance Inc. in 2022. He quickly moved to further his education and gained his paramedic licenses in 2024. In early 2025, Gage was promoted to Field Operations Supervisor. In July of 2025 he was promoted to captain. In his spare time outside of work, Gage attends walking horse shows with his soon to be wife, Elizabeth. Gage is also an entrepenuer with his business, Knight Earthworks.
Dylan Mahan

Dylan began his career with Ambulance Inc. in 2023 as an EMT. He then furthered his education to becom an Advanced EMT in 2024. Dylan serves as lieutenant to A-Shift at Ambulance Inc. Dylan is soon to be married, and has 1 daughter. In his spare time, he likes to go kayaking and fishing.
Mindy Pratt

Mindy has been in EMS for 23 years! She started at Ambulance Inc. as an EMT in 2021. She went on to further her education and gained her license as an Advanced EMT in 2022. Mindy was appointed Field Training Officer where she oversaw the training for her shift. She was then promoted to Lieutenant over B-shift in early 2025. Mindy loves her family, and has 2 children, Tommy and Gabby.
James Tomlinson
Paramedic/Field Operations Supervisor

James has been in EMS for 6 years, and has been a paramedic for 2 years. He has been with Ambulance Inc. since 2024, starting as a paramedic. He quickly transitioned to a chase medic position and was promoted to Field Operations Supervisor in 2025. James finds this line of work to be both rewarding and challenging. In his spare time he lovest o travel the world, fish, and enjoy any and all outdoor activites. He’s also an avid reader and always looking for an opportunity to learn a new skill.
